Tortoise Facility

Our facility has custom built enclosures for each, individual tortoise. We house species from the South American rainforest, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Burma, India, Sri Lanka (Formerly Ceylon), Thailand and other tropical tortoise locations that require higher amounts of humidity and constant warmer temperatures. All of our "tropical" species are housed in a greenhouse with native plants from natural habitats in the wild. Some of our species require specific temperature requirements. Most tortoise species, nonetheless, are easy to care for. However, we have over 55 tortoises and 26 out of the 60 different species from around the world. The number of and different types of tortoises can be a lot to care for in a non-natural restructured environment. But we successfully care for all of our tortoises in the most natural manner provided from research on each animal's natural habitat.
