Tortoise Shack is a dedicated company run by animal-experienced handlers.  We specialize in breeding many different species of chelonian (tortoises).  Our main goal is to bring exotic tortoises into the community of pets at the highest quality we can achieve. 

Exceptional care of our animals as close to their natural surroundings is a huge bonus towards chelonian care.  A healthy chelonian will produce happy customers.  There are a lot of things to consider when you’re ready to get into exotic animals, let alone a chelonian species.  For example, some species can require major care and can grow to extreme size, without your knowing.

Geochelone Sulcata is one of the most common tortoises in the pet industry under chelonian purchases.  However this species can measure up to 36” in length and weigh up to 200 pounds, requiring a major amount of food daily, including a number of specific minerals and nutrients every day.  The Tortoise Shack provides a variety of information for the customer before buying an animal, and during keeping of the animal.  We make sure that our animals go to the right home and to caring keepers.
